    T. Stirmi. Boy or Girl?

This is my mature theraphosa stirmi. I've had it for about a year. I am not sure of its gender. It has spindly legs and its abdomen looks like that of a male. However, it is nearly full grown and does not have tibial hooks or emboli. What am I looking at here?

    Mites

I keep finding these little brown mites in my tarantulas' enclosures. I usually find them floating in a small bunch in the water dish, but I see them all over the place in the enclosures as well. They are very tiny, almost impossible to see with the naked eye. What should I do? Are they harmful...

    Abdomen cysts/hernias?

Last month, my female theraphosa stirmi molted and when she came out she had a massive bump on her abdomen. I've been told by another hobbyist that it's a "cyst" and it'll ultimately kill her. I don't know what to do, is there anything I can do for her so she can survive her next molt? I'm also...

    Aphonopelma seemanni not eating. Concerned.

Hi. I'm still very much new to the hobby so I might just be concerned for nothing. But I recently picked up a mature, captive bred female aphonopelma seemanni. I've had her for about a week and a half but she still denies food. She seems healthy enough though. During the day she stays under a...

    Brachypelma albopilosum balding..?

True. But I haven't seen this one flicking hairs. Just balding, not eating and staying in its hole.

    Brachypelma albopilosum balding..?

Hello, I'm relatively new to owning tarantulas and because of that I have questions. For example, my immature brachypelma albopilosum (unsexed) has a rather large bald spot on the abdomen. It hasn't wanted to eat in about two weeks and has recently taken to staying in the half-log most of the...

    Hello! New to the hobby

Hello everyone, my name is John. I'm still very new to caring for tarantulas. I got my first one (unsexed Brachypelma albopilosum) about a month and a half ago and have been watching its activity closely. While I'm here, I would like to ask about balding/molting. The brachypelma albopilosum I...
